Source: EU prolongs anti-Crimea sanctions for one year
BRUSSELS, Jun 19 (PRIME) -- The E.U. has prolonged for one year sanctions imposed against accession of Crimea to Russia at a meeting of economy and finance ministers on Friday, a source in European authorities told PRIME.
“The clause was approved,” the source said.
The sanctions prohibit imports of a significant part of European goods and investments in the peninsula’s economy.
An official announcement will take place on Saturday, another E.U. diplomatic source said.
